Birthday

    I become 55 years old today. whmm,, sounds really old. However I didn't feel my age because my thought is still like my young time one. 

 Recently I feel time passes so fast because I am doing so many things. 

 According to the Janet law,however, the older feel that time passes faster then younger one,because 50's understand that 1 year is 1/50 of his life but 5 years kid understand that 1 year is 1/5 of his life.

 There is another understanding as below.

 It seems to me that "novelty" might be the key. The more novel experience you have, the more details you will remember , thus you feel more time.

 　「光陰矢の如し」とか言いますが、歳をとるほど、時間が経つのが速いような気がします。これには、いろいろな理論があり、その中で有名なのが「ジャネーの法則」です。もう一つは、新しい事をするかしないかだそうです。新しいこと、たとえばファースト・キスの経験は皆、スローモーションのようにその時間の経過を覚えているのを例にとり、新しいことをするとその時間認識がちゃんとあるということです。いろんな活動をして、いろいろ忙しくてもそれが、新しいことでない場合はそれこそあっという間に時間は過ぎます。何もすることがない老後の生活も母に聞くとあっという間に過ぎているらしいです。

【ジャネーの法則】

　19世紀のフランスの哲学者・ポール・ジャネが発案し、甥の心理学者・ピエール・ジャネが著作で紹介した法則。主観的に記憶される年月の長さは年少者にはより長く、年長者にはより短く評価されるという現象を心理学的に解明した。簡単に言えば生涯のある時期における時間の心理的長さは年齢の逆数に比例する（年齢に反比例する）。例えば、50歳の人間にとって1年の長さは人生の50分の1ほどであるが、5歳の人間にとっては5分の1に相当する。よって、50歳の人間にとっての10年間は5歳の人間にとっての1年間に当たり、5歳の人間の1日が50歳の人間の10日に当たることになる。
