Generation C

  I have some opportunity to see Generation C people recently. Specially Asian Generation C is quite different from other generation. They are educated and speak good English and knows SNS such as Face book very well. The average of their friends in Face book are over a hundred.

  Now they are emerging from school into office. They will show their strong presence demonstrating their social netwoking skills in 5-10 years from now on.

  【Wikipedia】 Generation Z (also known as Generation M (for multitasking), Generation C (for Connected Generation or Contents), the Net Generation, or the Internet Generation) is a common name in the US and other Western nations for the group of people born from the early to mid 1990s to 2010, with the earliest date starting in 1991.

   The generation has grown up with the World Wide Web, which became increasingly available from 1991 onwards.The youngest of the generation were born during a minor fertility boom around the time of the US Global financial crisis of the late 2000s decade, ending around the year 2010, with the next "Generation i" succeeding. They have been born and raised after the Cold War era and the fall of the Soviet Union.

  Members of Generation Z are typically the children of Generation X; their parents may also include the youngest Baby Boomers.

  なによりも、本書じたいがスピーチの構造に基づいて作製されている。それは、オープニング（導入）、ボディ（本体）、クロージング（締め）の三段階構造のことだ。これまでもスピーチのオープニングについては「つかみ」の重要性として語られることも多かったが、重要なのは、なんといても本体としてのボディである。この本体をいかに構築し、聴衆に共感をもって聞いてもらうかがスピーチのカギであり、そのボディを構成し、原稿として書き上げるための方法論がくわしく解説されている。

  2005年が一作目で、今回は7年目の第３作です。舞台は1964年です。私が小学校2年の7歳の時です。

　戦後生まれの新しい時代の人たちの台頭にスポットが当てられています。そうです、この頃、近所のお姉さんがステュワーデスになり、そのお父さんより、ボーナスが高かったとか言って近所で話題になったのを幼心ながら覚えています。東京オリンピックも学校で見ましたね。高度成長の始まりです。

　

　しかし、こう昔の映像を見ると、今のベトナムと大差ないですね。あの頃の日本のGDP per Caipaは、US$1,000弱でした、今のベトナムは、US$1,300超えていますからね。

　なぜか泣けてしまいました。

Iskandar

  I made a visit to the Iskandar region in Johore. The Malaysian government first mooted the idea of Iskandar Malaysia in 2005 and since then they have invested extensively in building up the infrastructure in the region.

   Iskandar has a land area of 2,217 sq km which is 3 times the size of Singapore. Within this region, the population is 1.4mil and is expected to grow to 3mil by 2025. It’s target of US$31,100 GDP per capita by 2025 would put it into the top 30 countries of today.

  Such lofty goals are targeted to be achieved by building up 6 key sectors ; Leisure & Tourism, Financial Advisory, Health & Wellness, Creative, Education and Trade & Logistics.

    Iskandar region will complement Singapore by allowing companies here to

located their back-office functions there to take advantage of lower operating costs.

 

   Some Japanese real estate companies start offering ex Japanese expats in Singapore as a second life place after their retirment. Sounds good. I will definitely consider! 

 

   By the way, the meaning of Iskandar likely comes from King Alexander. Japanese know this name from Yamato...

　昨日は、とにかく疲れて、4時前に家に帰ったのですが、それから夕食もとらずに、朝の5時まで、ずっと爆睡してしまいました。それから、早朝自転車トレーニング40ｋｍやってから、またゴルフです。今日は、同僚の送別ゴルフでした。

ゴルフ

　今日は、昔の仲間が来星したので、ゴルフを一緒にしました。

　そんなに悪くはなかったのですが、ドライバーがあまり当たらず。

その後、レッスンに行って、腕の切り替えしを練習。インパクトの時に右腕が上になるように教わりました。これが難しいんだな。

Bangkok International Motorshow

  I visited Bangkok International Motorshow. I heard that Japan mortorshow is now less popular than before since the car sales is stagnant and young peoples don't show so much interest in cars.
 The people in the developping countries, however, different. Still car is the best prestige products. Specially the expensive cars are so for everybody. I think motorshow in these area will become more popular in the near future.

Earth Wind & Fire

   Do you know "Earth Wind & Fire (EWF)" which was a super band during the Disco time in 1970/80s. My first concert to attend was EWF ones. when I was a university student, maybe more than 30years ago.

   I slipped back in Disco time tonight. Yes! EWF came to Singapore.

   "Boogie Wonderland"" September""Fantasy" and more were showering on us. We need these kind of live music time to time because they ease our stressed brain.

    The concert ended at 2：00am.

American English Accent for Japanese Speakers

   There are a lot of video lessons for non English native speaker like Indian, Russian and so on. It is very useful.
